Study Tours

The Public Programmes department works alongside University of Auckland Academic staff to provide a diverse range of educational overseas tours. Our tours are led by accomplished University scholars who enrich your experience by sharing their knowledge and expertise throughout the tour.

Focusing on themes relevant to the location being visited, our Study Tours are open to people of all ages who are enthusiastic about joining like-minded travellers in the quest to explore unique destinations.

WHAT IS A STUDY TOUR?

WHO CAN ATTEND A STUDY TOUR?

Study Tours are open to anyone who is 18+ whether or not they have studied at university.

WHAT LEVEL OF FITNESS IS REQUIRED?

There is a reasonable level of walking to and from sites of interest and public transport stations on each tour. Transport varies between tours with use of a private coach used on occasion.

CAN I EXTEND MY TRAVEL?

Yes! Our tour packages do not include flights giving you the flexibility to arrive at the tour destination earlier or extend your travel following the tour.

 

WHAT IS THE AVERAGE SIZE OF A TOUR GROUP?

We like to keep our tour groups small and generally have between 10 and 15 participants per tour. You will also be accompanied by a tour leader and a tour manager.
