Survey Christianity, Islam and Judaism in the late antique and medieval periods.
This course will survey Christianity, Islam and Judaism in the late antique and medieval periods. It will examine the roots of Christian and Muslim religious thinking, their interaction with Judaism, the Crusades, persecution of Jews and heretics, and schisms within Christianity.
You will join a class which is studying History (HISTORY 243) as part of an undergraduate degree, but you will not attend tutorials, complete assignments or sit an exam – a no-stress learning opportunity. You will not have online access to the course lecture notes.
Limited to 10 CCE participants
On completion of the course, learners will be able to gain a better understanding of modern religious cultures and conflicts.

This course is designed for those with an interest in medieval history and those considering University study for the first time, or perhaps contemplating further study after an extended break.
