Dr Lokesh Padhye
Dr. Padhye is currently a Senior Lecturer and environmental engineering group leader at the University of Auckland. He obtained his Masters and Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta. He is also a registered professional engineer (P.E.) with Texas Board of Professional Engineers. Prior to joining the University of Auckland in 2014, he worked as an environmental engineer with Geosyntec Consultants (Atlanta) and as an Assistant Professor at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay for one year. Dr Padhye’s research interests are in water quality and water/wastewater treatment. The most recent projects include occurrence and fate of emerging contaminants in natural and engineered aquatic systems, photocatalysis with conductive polymers, selective chemisorption of contaminants with biomass-derived carbon materials, and electrochemical water treatment with redox-active polymers.
