Senior Research Fellow Mark Trew
Mark Trew designs and constructs numerical analysis tools and computer models for interpreting and understanding the tissue structure and electrical activity of the heart. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering and PhD in Engineering Science, both from the University of Auckland. Currently he is a Senior Research Fellow at the Auckland Bioengineering Institute. From 1999 to 2001 Mark worked for Auckland UniServices on contract to Japan Petroleum Exploration Corporation, devising way to predict chemical behaviour at high temperatures in geothermal fields. He joined the Auckland Bioengineering Institute in 2001 and from 1999 to 2003 also held a joint lecturing appointment in the Department of Engineering Science.
