Dr Mila Adam
Ludmila Adam received her BSc in Geophysical Engineering from Simon Bolivar University (Venezuela), after which she briefly worked in an oil and gas company. Realizing that her heart was set on research, she pursued her Masters and Doctoral studies in Geophysics at Colorado School of Mines (USA). After completing her PhD work, she dedicated most of her time to her kids, but with a part-time research position at Boise State University. In 2012 she joined the School of Environment at the University of Auckland. Ludmila’s research involves squeezing quantitative information out of any rock type with applications to fault dynamics, volcanology, and energy. Besides the research, she loves communicating about geosciences to people from 5 and 90 years old!
